2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is unadulterated muscle
THIS week's blog is on an absolutely stunning 2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
This beast is equipped with a front-mounted 4.3-litre, 32 valve eight-cylinder engine that can produce up to 283kW (380 hp) at 7000rpm and 409Nm of torque (302 lb-ft of torque) at 5000rpm.
This engine also produces a muscle car like exhaust note to die for.
This particular model also has a curb weight of 1631 kilograms.
This allows the V8 Vantage to launch from 0-100 kilometres per hour in just 4.8 seconds, and it will keep accelerating until it reaches its drag limited top speed of 282 kilometres per hour (175 miles per hour), not exactly slow.
Aston Martin first launched the V8 Vantage prototype at the 2003 North American Motor Show, and later launched the first production V8 Vantage at the Geneva Motor Show a couple of years later in 2005.
For the first few years it was offered with the same 4.3 litre V8 that is in this model, then in 2008 they increased the displacement for all 2009-current models to 4.7 litres.
This increased the power by 30 kilowatts (40 horsepower) to 313 kilowatts (420 horsepower).
This also dropped the 0-100 kilometre per hour acceleration time by a couple of tenths and also increased the top speed, too.
Some other features that this particular Aston Martin is equipped with includes speed sensitive wipers, 19-inch 10-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels wrapped in performance tyres, double-wishbone front and rear suspension, four-wheel ABS as well as traction and stability control, electronic brake force distribution, emergency braking assist, tire pressure monitoring, a black leather interior with sport seats, climate control, front and rear parking sensors and cameras, satellite navigation and much more.
You can currently buy your own 2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage for about $125,000 AUD.
