5 things to do in the South Burnett this weekend
OUR region always dishes up a feast of weekend activities, and while the year is winding down to the Christmas period, that doesn’t mean the weekend action is slowing down.
Here are just five things that are happening in the South Burnett this weekend.
The South Burnett PCYC will host its weekly Byte Nite evening on Saturday.
Children can enjoy structured activities and games from 7—11pm at the PCYC on Macalister St.

Family movie night
The family-friendly movie The Star will be showing at The Salvation Army on 44 Alford St, Kingaroy on Sunday from 4.30pm.
BYO snacks for this film about the story of the first Christmas.
Also bring along a gold coin donation for a sausage sizzle that will follow the film.
Proceeds from the event will go toward purchasing Christmas gifts for needy families in the South Burnett.
Nanango Christmas Races
Nanango Race Club will hold its annual Christmas Race Meeting on Sunday.
The five-race meet will run from 11am—5pm. The theme is All About Christmas.
The first race will start at 1.20pm.
Buses will be running to the races from Kingaroy’s Glendon St Bus Depot at noon, and the rear of Nanango’s Fitzroy Hotel at 12.30pm.
Kingaroy Community Christmas Carols
The annual Kingaroy Community Christmas Carols will be held on Sunday from 5pm at the Kingaroy Town Hall.
Food stalls will be open in the Glendon St forecourt, while the concert will be held inside from 6pm.
Funds raised on the night will support the region’s school chaplains.

Get your Christmas shopping done at the Moffatdale Markets.
The markets will be held at the Yarrakool Tourist Park from 8am—2pm on Sunday.
