ANNOUNCED: How community grant recipients will spend money

SOUTH Burnett Regional Council has released the results of the second round of its Community Grants Program.

The grants which closed in the end of February, received 63 applications, with a total ask of $145,905.31.

South Burnett Regional Councillor Danita Potter said of the 63 applications the council received, 42 were successful.

But Cr Potter said while not all applications were successful, she encouraged the 21 organisations who missed out not to give up.

"It all boils down to funds. I wish we had more funds,” she said.

"We look at each one on its merit.”

The next round of grants opens in September for round one of the 2019/20 financial year.

Cr Potter encouraged all groups thinking of applying for funding to be prepared.

"Talk to Kimberley Donohue before they put their application in,” she said.

Below is a full list of all the successful grants in round two of the South Burnett Regional Council's Community Grants Program.
