ANZAC DAY: Road closures around the South Burnett
MANY families will be ready to wave on the many veterans, students and community groups as they march in the iconic parades across the South Burnett towns this Anzac Day.
This tradition will mean some roads across most Burnett towns will be closed in the lead-up and duration of the parades on April 25.
Anzac parade attendees driving to the events are encouraged to look for alternative routes around the closed roads.
Coulson St, along the D'Aguilar Highway, between Hart St and Sutton St will be closed from 4.10am to 4.50am and 10.45am to 11.30am.
Hart St between Coulson St and Bowman Rd will also be closed during these times.
Kingaroy St between Markwell St and Haly St will be closed from 10am to 11.30am.
Haly St will also be closed between the D'Aguilar Highway and Belle St for the parade on Thursday morning.
Anzac events will ensure Bell St between Roberts St and Francis St will be closed between 8.45am to 9.45am.
The streets of Murgon will be closed from 5.20am to 5.45am and 9.15am to 12noon.
The Lamb St (Bunya Highway) between Macalister St and Krebb St will be closed, as well as Gore St between Stephens St West and Palmer St West.
Henry St along the D'Aguilar Highway will be closed between Gipps St and Drayton St for Anzac events.
Henry St between Alfred St and Elk St, as well as Drayton St from Henry St to George St will be closed.
These Nanango streets will be closed from 5.15am to 6.30am and 8.30am to 11am.
Mackenzie St from Scott St to Haly St as well as Bramston St between Mackenzie St and Pring St will be closed from 4.45am to 5.30am and 9.45am to 11am.
Anzac events will temporarily close Alexander St along the Bunya Highway between Frederick St and Kate St from 11.15am to 11.30am on Thursday.
An early morning service will be held at Yarraman Memorial Park along Toomey St from 6am to 7am on Anzac Day.
Roads will be closed from 5am to 6am including Toomey St, Margaret St and Emmert St.
The march will commence from 10.40am, followed by a mid-morning service at the Yarraman Memorial Park along Toomey St.
The march will proceed past Margaret St, with traffic will be diverted via Margaret St and Emmert St, then onto the D'Aguilar Highway.
These diversions from the march will occur from 10.35am to 10.55am.
