Are you ready for the first Maidenwell Country Muster?

THE duo behind the Maidenwell Trading Post and The Sauce Man are counting down the days until the long-awaited Maidenwell Country Muster.

An event they have been planning for more than a year.

The Maidenwell Country Muster will be held at the Maidenwell Sportsground from Thursday, May 9 until Sunday, May 12.

The sportsgrounds are already open for travellers to set up camp for free for the weekend.

John Whitley and Nigel Squibb said they were beyond excited to bring the event to the region.

"It's a bit daunting at the moment,” said Mr Whitley.

"We've already got people here camping which is exciting and right now we're in the middle of getting the stage set up.”

A VIP Celebrity Chef Buffet will launch the weekend event, on Thursday night.

"We're sold out for the celebrity chef buffet, which is great” Mr Whitley said.

"Make sure you bring your own camping chairs. There's no seating provided on the Saturday,” he said.
