Burnett Singer-songwriter is Back with new stories

EVERYONE has a story and a South Burnett singer-songwriter plans to share some of these through music.

Fans of Nanango singer-songwriter Lloyd Back enjoyed listening to the latest music at the artists' Everyone Has a Story album launch at the Shed in Nanango on Saturday.

Family and friends travelled from the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Chinchilla and Sydney to hear the musician's latest music.

It was a morning of easy listening as the country guitarist in his blue jeans and checkered shirt gave the audience a preview of the songs from his brand new album.

The music artists' fifth album shared stories of life on the land and memories of Back's childhood.

"Everyone has a story, as musicians we find people want to tell us their stories," he said.

"This thought popped into my head last year and the rest of the song was then written in the bus to Wondai."

He shared the stories behind each of the songs and about the people who have inspired them.

"Some songs I manage to write very quickly and others take a long time," Back said.

Songs like Broken Hearts in Broken Hill was inspired by the news reports of graziers struggling with the current drought conditions.

Back shared about his childhood growing up on sheep stations in Dalby in the song Hazlewood.

"It's a collection of memories of visiting aunts and uncles when I was a bit older," he said.

He also sang The Deepest Kind of Love which was for his greatest encourager, his wife Sue Back.

The event also launched two music videos for the title track Everyone Has a Story and the song Stronger.

These videos showcased locations across the South Burnett including the Back's property, the Palace Hotel and Ringsfield House in Nanango and Hopevale, a property in Coolabunia.
