Call for changes to disability parking in timber town

DISABILITY parking along Blackbutt's main street could become a reality if there is a positive response from residents.

The South Burnett Regional Council received requests to install disability parking along Coulson St in the timber town.

The request called for the existing disability parking on Muir St to be relocated to Coulson St to address safety issues.

These new parking bays would have a concrete ramp on either side to improve accessibility.

The council is proposing to minimise the loss of existing parking bays and not affect the performance of the recently installed stormwater network.
