Cattle tick line review meetings in Burnett this week
SOUTH Burnett farmers are invited to a series of meetings to discuss the review of the cattle tick line.
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Biosecurity Queensland will be hosting the meetings this week.
This comes after a new industry group was formed as part of the review of the Queensland Cattle Tick Line.
Biosecurity Queensland's general manager of animal and biosecurity welfare, Dr Allison Crook chaired the working group which has provided advice and supported the review.
Dr Crook was supported by representatives from Queensland Dairyfarmers' Organisation, Australian Livestock and Property Agents, Animal Health Australia, two independent cattle industry members and members from AgForce, one from the infested zone and another from the free zone.
A meeting will be held in the Proston Hall on Tuesday, May 14 at 9.30am. A session will then be held in the Durong Hall at 2pm.
On Wednesday, a meeting will be held at the Pinelands Hall, just north of Crows Nest, at 9am on May 15.
The last session will be held at the Upper Yarraman Hall at 2pm on Wednesday, May 15.
Attendees are not required to RSVP.
