Clubs come together to celebrate Seniors Week

KINGAROY Senior Citizens Club is set to play host to the South Burnett Seniors Week celebration this year.

The celebration will be a day-long event at Kingaroy Town Hall, kicking off with morning tea at 9am.

From there, invited guests and club members are in for a program jam-packed with raffles, guest speeches, lunch, a concert and afternoon tea.

Club president Noela Wittpoth said members and invited guests were in for a great time.

"There will hopefully be a great lot of singing at the concert,” she said.

"After the concert we'll move into raffles, lunch, and more raffles. Then we'll finish up the day with afternoon tea.”

Guest speakers from major sponsors Stanwell, South Burnett Regional Council and AGL will also be in attendance.

A series of local businesses have also made donations for the raffles, including, Bob Jane T Mart, Chemist Warehouse, Ken Mills, Blooms Chemist, Kingaroy Coffee Lounge, Burke & Wills Motel, Pioneer Motel, Discount Drug Store, Treasure Pics, Something Country, Elray Jewellers, The Look, Kingaroy Garden Centre, Better Home Living, Kingaroy RSL, Strandbags, IGA Food Store, Andersons Fruit Market, Houston Motors, Ascot Lodge Motel Inn, SGs Hair Designs, Kingsley Grove Estate, Furniture Court, Prouds Jewellers, Spice Garden Restaurant, Motel Oasis Kingaroy, USA Nails, The Little Butcher, Mel's Diner, Professional Nails, Studio For Hair, Robinsons News & Gifts and club members.
