Come and celebrate 110 years at the Nanango Show

NANANGO Show Society members are proud to be hosting the 110th Nanango Show.

Nanango Show Society president Les Schloss said after the past week of rain, he was excited to show off the fresh green lawns.

"The grounds are going to look beautiful, just in time for our 110th milestone,” Mr Schloss said.

"David Littleproud, our Federal Member will be opening our show with us,” Mr Schloss said, referring to the opening at 2pm on Saturday, April 13.

As Mr Littleproud is the Federal Agricultural Minister, Mr Schloss said it meant a lot to the Nanango Show Society for him to be there, as the show heavily featured cattle and farming.

Mr Schloss said the entire society has been working hard to make this year's show come to life.

"It takes months, because you have to get in early to get any sort of acts,” he said.

However, Mr Schloss also said the hard work was very worthwhile.

Mr Schloss said the greatest thing in running a show was seeing the community come along.

Mr Schloss said he had no doubt people would want to be part of this year's milestone event.

"It's always a good show, and this year will be nothing less,” he said.

He's especially confident this year's event will be a winner as there have been many entries for the pavilion shows, as well as the chainsaw and woodchopping competitions.

However, if you still have work you want to put into the pavilion, you have until Thursday, April 11 to do so.
