Community event to put the fun in LifeFlight fundraising

HEAD to Nanango for an afternoon of family fun next weekend.

The South Burnett Community Family Fun Day will have something for all ages to enjoy on Saturday, August 17 at the Nanango Showgrounds.

The event has been organised to raise much-needed funds for RACQ LifeFlight and will run from noon to 6pm.

A highlight of the day will be the Top Gun Challenge which will involve teams competing for the Top Gun title in an obstacle course, tug of war and a ute pull competition.

The event will also feature face-painting, a merry-go-round and jumping castles for the younger members of the family.

You will also be able to work on your aim by having a game of laser tag or taking on popular the dunk tank.

There will also be plenty of demonstrations by South Burnett groups.

Live music will be provided by Skin n' Bone, and piglets will ham it up in Noah's Performance Pig Racing Spectacular.

You can bid on one of the obstacle course pig racers at the South Burnett Flightsavers Gala dinner the night before, or buy raffle tickets to be in the sweeps for each race.

The event will also include a car show and shine and plenty of food to choose from.

A fundraising dinner for RACQ LifeFlight will be held at the showgrounds the night before on August 16 from 6pm.

The three-course dinner provided by Judy Crawford will include entertainment from local band Ryza.

There will be auction items, raffles and guest speakers on the night.
