The Spring Collection: Jumping Ant Arts 2019 will be launched on Wednesday, September 4 at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery and the 1913 Council Chambers.

Wednesday's open day from 10am to 2pm will launch the new exhibition which will be on display at the gallery throughout September

Exhibition co-ordinator Melody Cook said it was a special event for the group.

"It recognises 10 years of encouraging the 'Ants' in the South Burnett,” she said.

Work from 11 different artists will be on display across a range of mediums including printmaking, watercolour, acrylic, textile, metalwork and pottery.

"I'd encourage the community to come and enjoy this time with us as we celebrate our anniversary,” Mrs Cook said.

There will be morning tea provided on the open day as well as an opportunity to watch demonstrations in printmaking, rug making and flower art.

Budding artists will also be able to create art of their own by dyeing their own silk scarf on the day for a cost of $5. To RSVP for the silk scarf workshop, call 0403 616 564.

There will also be a lucky door prize featuring a unique pottery piece.
