Traffic is back to normal on Bruce Hwy following crash
FINAL UPDATE: Traffic is back to normal on the Bruce Highway, near Childers, following a vehicle crash in the location earlier today.
The crash happened at a a section of roadworks which was already delaying traffic.
That section became completely closed off while the car crash was dealt with appropriately, causing further delays.
"Once we became aware of the crash, nearby roadworks were temporarily stopped while the traffic delay cleared," a Department of Main Roads and Transport spokesperson said.
EARLIER: Some motorists have been stuck in traffic for more than half and hour on the Bruce Highway, between Howard and Childers following a three vehicle crash.
The traffic delays are happening on both lanes of the highway, with the waiting line of cars at times stretching for more than 2km.
There are also extensive roadworks happening in the area, contributing to the delay.
Three people have been taken to Bundaberg Hospital with minor injuries from the crash that happened earlier.
The crash scene has been cleaned up.
Due to the roadworks, only one lane is able to drive at a time.

It has been confirmed the crash, which happened just after 10.30am, involved two vehicles and a truck on the bridge at Isis River.
UPDATE: Paramedics are treating three patients at the scene of a crash between a truck and a vehicle near Howard.
The injuries are minor.
EMERGENCY crews are at the scene of a crash along the Bruce Highway north of Howard involving what is believed to be a truck and a car.
A Queensland Ambulance Service media spokeswoman said it is believed there are two patients involved in the crash which occurred at 10.33am.

The crash site is 12km north of Howard on the southbound lane.
Police are on their way to the scene.
