Drivers nabbed as cops perform almost 1000 RBTs in July
JULY has been a busy month for police officers from Murgon, Cherbourg and Wondai after they performed 985 roadside breath tests.
On Friday, July 5, police intercepted a vehicle on the Bunya Highway at Wondai for a breath test, and as a result charged a 44-year-old Kingaroy man with driving under the influence of liquor.
On the following day, Saturday, July 6, a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Inala woman was intercepted on Borcherst Hill Rd in Murgon.
After undertaking a breath test and licence check, she was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, and driving a motor vehicle without a driver's licence.
She will appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 30.
The following week, a 29-year-old Goomeri man was charged with driving while a relevant drug was present in blood in saliva on on July 8.
The vehicle was incepted on the Bunya Highway in Murgon and the man will appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 3.
