EAGLE OF THE WEEK: Meet Jaspar Millar
THE region's aspiring rugby league stars are making their mark on the Toowoomba Rugby League competition this season as part of the South Burnett Eagles Under-18 team.
This week we meet 17-year-old Jaspar Millar who played his junior rugby league with the Kingaroy Red Ants.
What is your favourite position?
What is your favourite thing about rugby league?
I like playing my mates and having a good laugh out there with the boys.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as a rugby league player?
My dad, because he played from a young age and when I chose to play he has supported me all the way and I play the same position as he did.
What advice would you give to a young kid starting the sport?
Train hard, turn up to training and don't be afraid of contact.
What is your favourite rugby league memory?
I loved running out for the first time for the Red Ants in under-14s, my first game was the best memory.
What NRL club do you support?
South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Who is your favourite NRL player?
Greg Inglis because he tears it up and is a great role model for the sport.
