Easter fun in the park
AN EASTER egg hunt, arts and craft and a visit from the Easter Bunny make for the ultimate Easter activities for kids.
Youngsters in the South Burnett are set for a fun-filled morning of activities at Easter in the Park in Memorial Park on Saturday.
This year the day will be run by the South Burnett Flight Savers and secretary Susan Robertson said they were looking forward to bringing joy to kids of all ages.
"It is lovely to have something on the Saturday especially for people who don't go away for Easter,” she said.
"Hopefully the kids will have a bit of fun and exercise because we will have games of tug-of-war, egg and spoon races and sack races.”
It is set to be a day the whole family can enjoy, including a free Easter egg hunt at 9am and 11am.
There will be Easter arts and craft at the cost of $1.50 per pack, a colouring-in competition, raffle and egg jar guess with funds going back to the Flight Savers.
Funds from the Taabinga Lions Club barbecue, offering hot chips and sausage in bread, and a donation from Annie's coffee van will go towards organising the South Burnett Flight Savers family fun day and dinner in August to raise funds for Life Flight.
Easter in the Park will run from 8.30am-noon.
