Elderly man airlifted after crash with semi-trailer

AN ELDERLY man was airlifted to hospital this morning, after his ute collided with a semi-trailer.

Emergency services arrived at the single vehicle rollover at the Burnett Hwy and Robin and Lee Rd just before 8am and cordoned off the road.

A spokesperson from Queensland Ambulance Service said the man, in his late 70s, was trapped in his vehicle with a head injury.

The man was assessed and found to have suffered only suspected minor injuries.

He was flown to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
