Famous Aussies back our peanut butter

SOME of Australia's biggest stars have put their support behind the peanut butter created from Kingaroy's own peanuts, Bega Peanut Butter.

Celebrities including Masterchef alumni and celebrity cook Poh Ling Yeow and former Bachelorette Georgia Love will be showcased in a series of weekly videos as part of Bega Peanut Butter's latest campaign, an article on the Convenience and Impulse Retailing website revealed.

Bega Executive chairman Barry Irvin said the company was committed to investing in the Australian peanut industry, after purchasing the Port Melbourne Peanut Butter factory and more recently, Kingaroy's Peanut Company of Australia.

"Australian peanuts are in high demand, Bega is committed to supporting Australian farmers so they're able to increase the number of peanuts grown and harvested each year in Australia,” Mr Irvin said.

"By 2020, we're looking to increase this by 30 per cent.”

Bega Peanut Butter general manager Adam McNamara said Bega was proud to be associated with the famous Aussies to promote the product.

'We're thrilled to partner with these Aussie personalities and have their support for Australia's favourite peanut butter, Bega Peanut Butter,” Mr McNamara said.
