Festival proves our community does things well

BACONFEST made pigs, pork and bacon front and centre last weekend.

South Burnett Regional Council said it was fantastic to see so many visitors to Kingaroy from far and wide.

Acting mayor Kathy Duff said it was a spectacular event for the region.

"I was amazed at just how many things you can do with pork and bacon,” she said.

"The numbers were overwhelming and it was great to see the whole community and particularly locals get involved to celebrate the success of our pork industry and support our local pork producers.”

BaconFest did a lot for community pride.

"It proved to everyone that our community does things well,” Cr Duff said.

The Council were proud to support the Kingaroy food festival.

"We were incredibly proud and pleased to support BaconFest and want to extend a huge congratulations to the committee who really put on a spectacular event for our region,” she said.
