Five things to do in the South Burnett this weekend
1. Blue Light Disco
KINGAROY Town Hall will become a disco club on Friday night to provide hours of entertainment for the South Burnett's youngest residents.
The Blue Light Disco will run from 6-8.30pm for kids from Prep age to 14. High school students will be required to show identification.
Entry costs $5 and parents can collect kids from inside the hall at any time.
2. Carrollee Hotel re-opening
THE transformation of Kingaroy's Carrollee Hotel is complete and patrons will be gathering at the iconic pub to celebrate its re-opening on Saturday night.
Live entertainment and celebrations will be held from 11am.
3. Taste the Trail
RESIDENTS will have the chance to experience the best of what the South Burnett has to offer as part of South Burnett chef Jason Ford's new event, Taste the Trail.
Riders will meet at 8am at Kingaroy's TJ O'Neill Square before taking to the South Burnett Rail Trail bound for Wondai via Memerambi, Wooroolin, and Tingoora.
At each stop, riders will feast on food made entirely from local produce, cooked by locals.
4. Kingaroy markets
THE Kingaroy Showgrounds will play host to the Kingaroy Friendship markets with a range of fresh produce and arts and crafts from 6am to noon.
5. Winter Craft Festival
Saturday and Sunday
THE Queensland Winter Craft Festival in Kingaroy continues this weekend, featuring mosaic workshops at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery.
