Five things to do this weekend

1. Roller skating

Friday, 6pm

HEAD along for a fun night at the Nanango Blue Light Roller Disco at 6pm tonight.

Students of all ages are welcome to join in at the event held at the corner of Elk and George St, Nanango.

With $5 entry per person, children can enjoy the included skate hire, games, prizes, craft and more.

 

2. Think pink at the races

Saturday

THINK pink this weekend at the Nanango Races as many dress up for the Valentine's Day-themed event.

There will be heaps of fashion prizes on offer for those willing to nominate themselves and meet at the pink champagne bar. The five race-meet will kick off with the first race at 1.35pm.

 

3. Blue light disco

Friday, 6pm

GRAB your friends, put your dancing shoes on and join other students for some fun.

Kingaroy Blue Light Disco will be held tonight from 6-8.30pm. The dance is open to students in Prep to 14-years-old at the Kingaroy Town Hall.

High school students will be required to show ID. Entry will cost $5.

 

4. Watch a movie

All weekend

BEAT the heat and catch up on the latest flicks at the Kingaroy Cinema.

Action fans will enjoy Glass and others may find The Mule or Mary Queen of Scots intriguing.

For the younger audiences there is the timeless story of Storm Boy currently showing.

 

5. Grab a bargain

Saturday, 7am

THE South Burnett Pantry will be holding a garage sale outside their shed at 22 Stolzenberg Rd, Kingaroy.

The sale offering furniture, clothes and bric-a-brac will start at 7am and all proceeds will aid the Pantry's ongoing welfare work in the community.
