Former Kingaroy Red Ant lacing up for Origin night

AS QUEENSLAND and New South Wales prepare for the final battle of the 2019 State of Origin series, one of Kingaroy's own will be amongst the action.

Tomorrow night, former Red Ants player Logan Bayliss-Brow will run on for the Under-20s Queensland team in the pre-game clash at ANZ Stadium.

Bayliss-Brow said he was excited for the game and he "won't be leaving anything on the field”.

The young talent played for the Kingaroy Red Ants for six years after moving from Nambour to Kingaroy when he was 11 years old.

But he started playing rugby league when he was much younger, thanks to his parents signing him up for the sport as a youngster.

At the start of 2019, Bayliss-Brow earned himself a spot in the Cowboys NRL Development Squad after a standout season with the Townsville Blackhawks Under 20s.

He now plays for the Mackay Cutters, while still training with the Cowboys Development Squad, and credits his success to a strong work ethic.

"I wasn't always the best player but I put in the work,” Bayliss-Brow said.

"I did extra training sessions on my own time to try to put myself ahead.”

Bayliss-Brow plans to continue training and playing hard with the Cutters and hopes to be selected in an NRL team next year, when he will be too old for the U20s division.
