Four crews on the scene of South Nanango fire

FOUR fire crews are on the scene of a grass fire in South Nanango.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said the grass fire was burning in the vicinity of Allens Rd, South Nanango.

The fire broke out around 11.45am and crews are currently working to contain the blaze.

Residents in Nanango and surrounding areas may be affected by a smoke haze.

Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.

Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
