FOR THE first time competitors united in the South Burnett for the annual Australian Miniature Registry's state show.

Hosted over the long weekend at the Kingaroy Showgrounds, there was plenty of action as the horses were put on display in various categories.

After 15 years of travelling to the area for various events, horse teaching instructor Sue Doherty from Mystic Park said she always enjoyed visiting the local spot.

"Kingaroy is the best place to come because of the show grounds and how it is presented,” Doherty said.

"It's neat and tidy with great facilities close by.

"It has a very family friendly atmosphere and we can park our caravan right near where we are competing for easy access,” she said.
