THE Nanango community lined the streets to cheer on the veterans and remember the Anzacs who served and sacrificed their lives.

Veterans marched through the streets alongside the Nanango Army Cadets as a replica of a WWI plane flew overhead.

A special appearance was made by the 49th Battalion who marched in the parade and joined Nanango's commemorations.

Other community groups including RSL Nanango Sub-Branch members, the Scouts and Nanango Men's Shed members marched along the main streets of the town.

School students from St Patrick's Primary School, Saint Mary's Catholic College, Nanango State School and Nanango State High School marched in the parade.

School leaders from each of the schools shared stories about Nanango servicemen and servicewomen during the ceremony.

Member for Maranoa David Littleproud and South Burnett Regional Councillor Roz Frohloff attended the event and each laid a wreath.

"Those men and women that are serving right now are shaping the world," Mr Littleproud said.
