Golfers set new South Burnett record
A NEW South Burnett club record was set at the South Burnett Veteran Golf Club's game in Kingaroy with 83 golfers on course on Tuesday.
Bruce Hurley was the best men's player finishing on 40 points.
Rob Unverzagt was the men's runner-up on count back to Bill Horner and Dennis Franklin with 38 points.
Val McAuliffe was the top scoring lady on course with 37 points.
Ros Wethers was the runner-up on count back to Dot Graham on 35 points.
The nearest to pin for the ladies was Robyn Aird and Shirley McDougal and the men's winners were Dennis Franklin and Lionel Worth.
Next week's game will be played at Wondai with a shotgun start at 9.30am
