Grab a bargain to help support Relay For Life

HEAD into Harvey Norman this weekend for some big savings, and to support the community.

Harvey Norman Kingaroy has partnered with South Burnett Relay For Life and will donate a percentage of their revenue from Friday, July 27 to Monday, July 30.

Proprietor Brendan Young said it would be store-wide, with the money raised going back to the community as a donation.

"We decided we wanted to give back to the community, so everything that we sell over the four days, we're giving a percentage of the revenue that we make back to Relay for Life,” he said.

"I thought it'd be a great opportunity to show we care about the community and give back to a really great cause.”

South Burnett Relay For Life chairwoman Rowena Dionysius said the committee were thankful for Harvey Norman's support.

"It shows the community spirit of the South Burnett, when there are businesses so willing to help us out,” she said.

The money would go towards cancer support, education and research, and raise awareness of the South Burnett Relay For Life event in October.

Harvey Norman plan to send a team of their own staff along to the event.

"It's a fun event for the staff to do, so we can all band together and raise awareness for Relay For Life and Cancer Council,” Mr Young said.
