Hard work behind the scenes to ensure successful Wondai Show

IF YOU'RE planning to go to the Wondai Show this Friday and Saturday, you will see first-hand how hard the committee has worked to organise the event.

Wondai A. P. & I. Society president Dennis Morris said 70 show society members had put in the hard yards to make sure this year's show was the best one yet.

From preparing the grounds to organising the rides and event itself, Mr Morris said everyone contributed to the show.

"I would really like to pay tribute to these members,” he said.

Mr Morris said their sponsors also put in a lot of effort to help make the event possible.

This year's platinum sponsors include Crow FM, Bendigo Bank, Wondai IGA and Huston Ford.

"Our sponsorship is so much higher than ever before, we're very grateful for their support in these difficult circumstances,” he said.

Mr Morris referred to businesses putting money in despite harsh drought repercussions.

"Everything apart from the weather is working in our favour,” he said.

Mr Morris said the South Burnett Regional Council had been showing its support for the Wondai Show by watering the grounds.

"All of the help has been invaluable,” he said.

"The show will definitely be an award for the tremendous amount of hard work for the committee members and the business members' support.”
