IF YOUR idea of a holiday involves a hotel, but your kids desperately want to go camping - a Sunshine Coast business has the perfect solution for you.
Three entrepreneurs with a love for camping have created Camp Hire Australia where they won't just hire out all the equipment for a perfect camping weekend, they'll even pitch the tent and pack it away.
One of the founders, Mark Vagg, said the aim was simple "to get people out more often".
"Myself and my business partners are avid campers," he said.
"But a lot of people are too busy to go camping or they don't have the gear.
"We supply everything from tents, to beds and eskies, all you need to do is bring your sleeping bags, clothes and food.
"We can also offer a service where your tent is pitched when you arrive and we will pack it down for when you leave."
Would you be more likely to go camping if someone else did all the hard work?
This poll ended on 08 June 2017.
No. Setting up and packing down is part of the fun.
I don't think even that would persuade me.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
The business has only been going for a few months, but it is taking off.
"It's getting busier and busier," Mr Vagg said.
Camp Hire Australia will even recommend good camping spots to suit personal requirements.
"There are so many more terrific places around the Sunshine Coast people need to go and see," he said.
Not only are there many incredible official camp sites, Camp Hire Australia also used Youcamp.com to find sites on private properties for those looking for something different.
The business takes the stress out of spending hundreds on camping gear, only to discover you were right to hate camping in the first place.
And they only use the top quality gear "we use ourselves" to make sure the first camping experience is as good as it can be.
"If you buy cheap gear, you won't enjoy it and it will either sit in the garage for 10 years or end up as landfill," Mr Vagg said.
"We hire out the gear we use ourselves. You have to make sure people are comfortable when they are camping."
Mr Vagg and his business partners, Craig Scott and Nantha Lingam, are all Sunshine Coast locals passionate about sharing the area.
"We are united around a love of camping and saw a business opportunity," he said.
With the winter school holidays around the corner, Camp Hire Australia is offering a special for a "two night getaway".
And because the camping experience is always better shared with a friend, it is geared for eight people.
"We will supply everything you need, tents, tables, chairs torches and light for up to eight people for two nights at $290," he said.
The cost of the camp site is an extra and would depend on where the person wished to book.
