How to have your artwork featured on Kingaroy's peanut silos
ASPIRING South Burnett artists have the chance to have their work projected onto the Kingaroy Peanut silos during Kingaroy Baconfest.
Award-winning multimedia artist Donna Marree Robinson will lead a workshop on how to animate digital artworks and project animated artworks in outdoor spaces.
At the free workshops in Kingaroy on August 3 and 4, 20 artists will use the iMotion app to create an animated digital artwork based on collaged images they make on the day.
The workshop is a new initiative by Central Queensland Regional Arts services network in partnership with South Burnett Regional Council, South Burnett Arts and the Peanut Company of Australia to offer an exciting new professional development opportunity.
In addition to having their work projected on the peanut silos during Baconfest from August 23-25 the work will also be projected on August 4 and projected publicly at the Arts Ablaze conference and festival in the Scenic Rim in October.
To be eligible to take part the artist must be 16 years and over and live in Banana, Bundaberg, Cherbourg, Central Highlands, Fraser Coast, Gladstone Region, Isaac, Livingstone, Mackay, North Burnett, Rockhampton, South Burnett, Whitsundays or Woorabinda.
Artist must apply by 5pm on July 1 by sending a copy of their CV with their expression of interest to CQ RASN's Project Officer Trudie Leigo via email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
