Inaugural breakfast event to empower businesswomen in region

WOMEN involved in business within the South Burnett will set their alarm clocks that extra bit earlier next Tuesday, in order to attend an empowering event.

The inaugural Women in Business Breakfast will be held at the Wondai Colonial Motel from 6.30am on Tuesday, October 22.

Hosted by Business South Burnett, the idea behind the morning is to bring women together and celebrate the work they are doing across the region.

Guest speakers will include businesswomen Jay Rose from Rosegold Legal, and the dynamic duo Elaine and Sherree Raffin from Wondai Electrical.

Ms Rose is the principal solicitor at the firm and specialises in family, civil and criminal law.

The women from Wondai Electrical will share a wealth of knowledge gained from decades of experience in the business world.

The team at Business South Burnett said they hoped it would become a quarterly event, and have scheduled the next breakfast to be held in Kingaroy in December.

Tuesday's breakfast costs $18 per head, payable to the motel on the morning.

Contact South Burnett Regional Council's economic development officer by calling 4189 9100 or emailing kboard@southburnett.qld.gov.au to RSVP for the event.
