Indigenous bowler who dismissed Bradman inspires new era

In 1931, indigenous fast bowler Eddie Gilbert famously dismissed Sir Donald Bradman without scoring.

After the dismissal, Bradman said he had never seen someone bowl so fast.

Eddie Gilbert has become an inspiration for many indigenous cricket players who followed in his speedy footsteps.

And now it is your chance to take up the ball and try your hand at his craft.

Queensland Cricket is excited to announce its upcoming Inclusive Week, and invites all indigenous cricketers to attend one of the coaching and talent identification sessions throughout the state.

Queensland Cricket's Inclusive Talent Identification Program is open to males and females from 10 to 25.

More than 10 sessopms throughout Queensland have been scheduled this month.

This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring players to be seen in action by Queensland Cricket's coaches and talent development specialists, as well as local cricket managers.

Talented cricketers have the opportunity to progress into the talent academies and be exposed to an extensive development program with the long-term goal of one day playing the Imparja Cup, first-class cricket or ultimately, for Australia.
