It's easy, learning to swim in the South Burnett

Kingaroy Swimming Pool

Learn-to-swim blocks from Monday to Friday starting on January 8 and 15 for children three years and above. Term lessons start when school returns from Monday to Thursday mornings for under-school-age children.

Lessons will be on Monday through to Saturday for school-age swimmers. Adult swim squad will also start back when school returns on Fridays from 9.30am to 10.30am.

To keep families close together, Donna Dangerfield distributes the times and days once everyone has registered their interest.

Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool

Wondai are taking names for five-day block learn to swim lessons from January 15 to 19. Term one lessons will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays when school returns.

They have resumed their pool pilates and water exercise fitness classes.

South Burnett Aquatic Centre Nanango

Nanango held block lessons in December that were fully booked and lessons will return on January 30, from mums and bubs classes and up.

Stroke development squad and adult learn to swim will also return on January 30.

Linda Smith from the centre said the block lessons were beneficial to new swimmers.

"Especially the non-swimmers and the children that are scared, they go a lot further and in a faster time because it is so intensive,” she said.

To book, phone Ms Smith on 0409 702 013.

Murgon Jubilee Swimming Pool

Murgon will look to run their fourth block of learn-to-swim lessons from January 15 based on numbers, catering for babies. Their 10-week blocks of swimming lessons will start on January 22, catering for swimmers from learn-to-swim to those in squad.

Their fitness classes, aqua aerobics, aqua box, deep water running and adult learn-to-swim have started back.
