Kingaroy business shines bright on National stage

ONE of the South Burnett’s award-winning businesses has done it again.

This time on the national stage.

Astill’s Electrical picked up the medium employer of the year at the Australian Training Awards on Thursday, November 21.

Along with Astills, TAFE Queensland helped fly the maroon flag, awarded the International Training Provider of the Year at the awards.

Astill’s Electrical Services is based in Kingaroy and services the South Burnett and Sunshine Coast region.

Minister for Training and Skills Development Shannon Fentiman congratulated the two Queensland winners at the awards held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Queensland’s maroon colours were on full display tonight as we celebrated the achievements of our 11 Queensland finalists tonight,” Ms Fentiman said.

“Astill’s Electrical Services is a family-based company that has grown rapidly since 2009 and is a fantastic employer of local apprentices.

“They also actively work with local high schools to provide work experience opportunities for students.”
