POLICE NEWS: Thieves pinch fuel, shoes, school equipment

RESIDENTS have been falling victim to a number of thieves over the past few weeks, resulting in police investigating a series of property offences throughout Kingaroy.

On Friday, May 31, an unknown number of culprits allegedly entered a Lara Court home around 1pm and stole a pair of Nike shoes.

Earlier this month on June 3, an unknown offender walked out in front of a Mitsubishi Pajero on Haly St and allegedly kicked in the passenger door before running away. 

On Tuesday, June 4 at 4.15pm, a person noticed the tailgate and number plate was missing from their trailer, which was parked on Kingaroy St.

An 18-year-old Kingaroy man was spotted at 9.10am on Wednesday, June 5 on George St in possession of an allegedly stolen football from a local school.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 4, and has been charged with allegedly stealing and receiving tainted property.

On Thursday, May 30 at 12am, a white Nissian ute stopped at a petrol station on Knight St and a man allegedly pumped fuel before getting back into the ute and driving off without paying.

On Friday, June 7 at 10.05pm a silver Holden wagon stopped at a petrol station on Youngman St where the driver allegedly pumped fuel and stole goods from the store before driving off without paying.

All investigations are still ongoing.
