Lee Kernaghan's 'busty' Kingaroy memory

ONE of Australia's biggest country music stars will soon be back in Kingaroy and he has some rather unusual memories of the peanut capital.

The recipient of a staggering 37 Golden Guitar Awards, Lee Kernaghan, will be performing in the South Burnett in September.

He has many fond memories of performing in our little part of Australia, but there is one memory that pops out more than the rest.

"I signed a lady's breasts in Kingaroy,” the muso revealed.

"She said she was going to get it tattooed, so I had to be pretty neat.”

Years went by and Kernaghan didn't think too much more about the unusual South Burnett signing request, until one night, when he was sitting at home watching TV.

"About two years later, I'm watching Burke's Backyard,” he said.

"They had the viewer segment and this lady had sent in a picture.

"It was the woman who I signed her breast, and there's the picture of the tattoo.

"That's my fondest memory of Kingaroy.”

Kernaghan will perform at the Kingaroy Town Hall on Thursday, September 5 as part of his Backroad Nation tour across the country.

Support acts will include The Wolfe Brothers and Christie Lamb.
