Lions’ AFLW side set for Gabba debut
Brisbane's AFLW side will take centre stage in a club-first regular season clash at the Lions' spiritual home next March.
In a massive boost for women's football and AFLW expansion, the Lions will take on North Melbourne at the Gabba in what could be a decisive game for their finals ambitions.
The clash is set for March 28 and is Brisbane's final game of their eight home-and-away season fixtures.

The Lions will play three home games at Hickey Park, on the north side of Brisbane, as well as their first women's QClash with expansion club Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium in Round 3.
Brisbane Lions Women's CEO Breeanna Brock described the Lions AFLW 2020 fixture as "fan first."
"We are so thrilled to have three home games at Hickey Park, an oval right in the heart of Brisbane city. This will be an easy venue for our fans to access," she said.
"Our team had an unbelievable experience playing a QW Winter Series game at The Gabba and we cannot wait to return in Round 8.
"We are looking forward to playing the Suns for the first time and with the venue only an hour down the highway, we know our supporters will travel to cheer us on.
"We have wanted to give our fans more access to our team and our great game and believe this fixture allows us to do so.
"We are also looking forward to hosting clubs who have not travelled to Brisbane before, including Adelaide and North Melbourne."
