Littleproud vows to continue to work hard
MEMBER for Maranoa David Littleproud was filled with gratitude following his recent re-election.
The Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources was in high spirits after news of his win.
"It's deeply humbling to be returned with such a swing in Maranoa, and to have the Liberal Nationals returned to government," he said.
"I'm particularly pleased to have won the booth of Barcaldine - the birthplace of the Labor party."
He said through his relationship with the National Farmers' Federation, they would continue to work towards a shared goal and achieve a lot for farmers.
"We have such a great and constructive relationship," Mr Littleproud said.
"Fiona Simson and Tony Mahar are great leaders for their organisation and for farmers."
The successful LNP candidate had a message for all those in the electorate of Maranoa.
"There's a lot more to do yet," he said.
"To all those who voted for me and for all those who didn't, I'll continue to work as hard as I can to deliver for you."
