Localised devastation in Coolabunia

THEY say every cloud has a silver lining.

This couldn't be more appropriate for the farming community at Coolabunia.

A localised hail storm visited destruction upon the hamlet on Wednesday night, felling trees and shredding crops.

The storm has blown over a number of billboards, damaged fences and torn the odd roof off sheds.

However, the much needed rain has ensured farmers will have the moisture to see their crops through to harvest.

There is more rain expected.

The Bureau of Meteorolgy is forecasting 10-30mm on Saturday with scattered showers on Sunday.

See Tuesday's edition of the South Burnett Times for the full story.
