
Man trades speakers for drugs
KINGAROY police charged a man following a tip off from a member of the public about a drug deal taking place on King St, Kingaroy on Wednesday September 12, at 11.20am.
Police allegedly located a 31-year-old Cherbourg man hiding behind a skip bin a short distance away.
A search of the man allegedly located a small quantity of amphetamine, and he said he had just bought it for a set of blue tooth speakers.
Police will allege further investigations revealed the man was responsible for the theft of a pair of sunglasses from a Kingaroy St business on September 10 and a pair of earrings on September 11.
The man will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 15, charged with allegedly possessing a dangerous drug and utensils, two counts of stealing, as well as failing to appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on July 3.
