Moreton Resources in trading halt
MORETON Resources has been placed in a trading halt in the lead up to an impending announcement from the mining company.
The company was placed in a trading halt state by the ASX at the request of Moreton Resources yesterday morning.
Trading halts are common for publicly traded companies in the lead up to major announcements.
A statement released to the ASX stated it would remain in a trading halt until the commencement of normal trading on May 23 or when the announcement is released to the market "unless ASX decides otherwise".
The halt comes a week after the company referred its proposed South Burnett coal mine project to the Commonwealth Department of the Environment in an effort to have it determined a controlled action.
