Morning clouds to hint at rain to come
THE clouds above the South Burnett this morning are promises of what is to come.
Weatherzone Meterologist Craig McIntosh said there was only a chance of light showers in Kingaroy on Wednesday.
"That cloud is a high cloud ahead of a trough that's west of Kingaroy that is gradually moving in your direction," he said.
There is a chance of very light showers to the east of Kingaroy.
"Today there could be a spot here and there," Mr McIntosh said.
The trough will move over South East Queensland on Thursday with showers more likely later in the day.
"There is a chance of very light showers earlier in the day," he said.
Any decent rainfall can be expected for late Thursday or Friday morning.
There is a small chance of thunderstorms with the rainfall, but the storms are more likely to form to the west and south of the South Burnett.
South Burnett residents can expect rainfall between 5 to 10ml on Thursday, but it could be a little less.
Rainfall is forecast to be lighter, lingering showers on Friday and Saturday.
"There'll be less than a couple of mills of rain for those two days," Mr McIntosh said.
The weather is expected to dry up by Sunday ahead of a pretty dry week.
Maximum temperatures are expected to stay around the mid-20s for most of the week before heating up to 30 degrees on Sunday and Monday.
