Mother's Day fashion parade to raise funds for playground
SASSY Mumma Fashion and Accessories is hosting a Mother's Day fashion parade to raise funds for a local cause.
Owner Sharon Austin has organised the Nanango event to help make the Butter Factory Park Inclusive Playground project a reality.
Tickets for the fashion parade cost just $5 and all proceeds will go toward the playground campaign.
Nanango mother Cheryl Warner initiated the fundraising campaign in May last year.
It has quickly gained momentum, and an informal group of local businesses and community members, with support from the South Burnett Regional Council for construction, launched a community fundraising drive for the playground.
The group needs to achieve a fundraising goal of $80,000 for construction to begin at the Butter Factory Park.
There is a fundraising tally board on display at the Heritage Bank Nanango Community Branch, where the community can follow the progress made while working towards the $80,00 goal.
Throw your support behind the cause at the Sassy Mumma Fashion and Accessories Mother's Day fashion parade on Sunday, May 5 from 2-4pm at the Nanango store.
Tickets can be bought in advance from the store, at Nanango Real Estate, or at the door.
Sassy Mama Fashion and Accessories is open every day if you're looking to pop by and purchase a ticket. Hours are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday, and 9am-noon on Saturday and Sunday.
