Motorcycle club welcomes newbies to have a go

MOTORBIKES: All are welcome to hop on a motorcycle and give it a go at the South Burnett Junior Motorcycle Club Ride Come and Try Day this Sunday, March 24.

The Club Ride Come and Try Day is the perfect opportunity for those looking to get involved with the club.

With nearly a full day of riding, newbies will get a good feel of what joining the club would involve.

It's also a great chance to socialise with established and potential members.

For first-timers the South Burnett Junior Motorcycle Club is offering discounts on the day.

Some discounts are also available for riders' licensing costs.

Anyone is welcome. Whether you already have a motorcycle licence or not is no problem.

First-timer under 16-year-olds are able to ride free of charge this weekend.

Motorcycling Queensland is even covering the cost of their day licence.

Making the event completely cost-free.

For first-timers over 16, it's only $30 to purchase a day licence for the event.

Also for new senior riders (over 16 years in age) the event cost is only $25.

Event sign-on begins at 8am.

The event will then start with motorcycle riding kicking off after 9am.

The day is looking like it will wrap up early afternoon.

There is also going to be food available.

A canteen will be up and running for the duration of the event.

The event is cash only for all costs.

  • Junior members: $15
  • Junior non-members: $25
  • Senior members: $25
  • Senior non-members: $35
