Dalby mum's success after moving business online
DALBY entrepreneur Amanda Kingston has moved her boutique to the online world.
With online shopping becoming increasingly prevalent across the country it was a good move for Ms Kingston.
The mother-of-four ran Willows Children's Boutique on Cunningham St for 14 months before being forced to shut her doors.
Though burdened with a sense of letting the community down, the upside was that Ms Kingston could now run her business online.
Ms Kingston's boutique is now run from her family's media room.
Her business still appears at markets, ladies days and the Think Local, Love Dalby street party.
"It used to cost me $200 a day not including wages and stock," Ms Kingston said.
"Now I can run the business online for $200 a month.
"This means I do one good sale and I've covered my costs for the month.
"Now I can do a bit out in the community but without the same pressure every day.
"With kids between one and 13 years old, it works for me," she said.
Willows Children's Boutique sells baby clothes, children's wear, gifts and toys.
