Murgon footpath to be allocated funding
SOUTH Burnett Regional Council has announced they will allocate money for the Murgon footpath project in next year's budget.
The footpath along Murgon's CBD requires extensive maintenance and officers have been undertaking designs of a complete replacement.
The council made the decision during their meeting on November 21 to allocate funds from their 2019-20 budget to undertake replacement works.
They allocated $500,000 from their infrastructure renewal budget and $500,000 from the next round of Works for Queensland for the footpath replacement.
Councillor Kathy Duff said she was really pleased for the Murgon community to have this budget allocation.
