Musicians share movie favourites for free family concert

EXPERIENCE the sound of movie magic as musicians endeavour to take their audience back to their favourite films.

The South Burnett Community Orchestra will be holding a free family concert this weekend in Kingaroy, thanks to a grant from the Queensland Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

SBCO Celebrates 2019 will feature performances from the orchestra and the orchestra choir.

The concert will showcase music from the orchestra's Heroes, Villains and Freddie Mercury fundraiser dinner and a few Christmas treats.

Audience members will take a journey through J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth or take a stop by the Hogwarts school.

They will hear the soundtracks from much-loved DC films and a musical favourite.

SBCO Celebrates 2019 will be at the Kingaroy Town Hall on Saturday, December 7.

The concert will start at 5.30pm, with doors opening at 5pm.

Families are welcome to bring a rug to sit on the floor at the front, or there will be plenty of chairs.

An optional meal of sausage or steak burgers and salad will be available at interval for $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Families are welcome to bring their own picnic to eat in the forecourt during intermission.

Meals can be purchased through Kingaroy Office Central or www.trybooking.com/BGIU.
