THERE won't be much camping going on this summer for some Park Avenue residents, with their caravan burnt to a skeleton this afternoon.

Fire fighters are still trying to put out the Hadgraft Street fire, which sent black plumes into the Rockhampton skies just after 2pm.

There are still concerns about some gas cylinders in the backyard.

No one has been injured as the residents are not home, with neighbours having to alert fire authorities.

An eye witness said she saw the fire when it first started, on top of the caravan, located in the backyard, underneath an awning.

It threatened two neighbouring properties and took firefighters 30 minutes to contain.

The shed also contained bee-keeping equipment, including gas cylinders.
