Numerous roads to be affected by council upgrades

SOUTH Burnett Regional Council announced the bitumen resealing works will continue around the region in November.

As part of the Roads to Recovery plan, the upgrades will continue in multiple places and could cause some delays.

Some of the roads that would be affected are Middle Creek Rd in Pimpimbudgee, Bradley Rd, Brand Rd, Freeman Rd and Wooroonden Rd in Wooroonden as well as Redhill Rd in Chelmford-Fairdale and Wheatland Loop Rd, Wheatlands.

Crownthorpe Rd in Crownthorpe, Nangur Rd in Crownthorpe-Cobbs Hill, Couchman Rd Memerambi plus Birt Rd in Corndale Margaret St, Kingaroy will also have upgrades made to the roads.

Council said some property owners may experience restrictions to property access for short periods of time during the upgrades to the roads.

Prior to the resealing, the council said they carried out heavy maintenance on these roads which included shoulder grading, pothole patching, temporary sealing and other pavement surface works.

Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to obey the temporary signage.

Council apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the community for their patience throughout the resealing upgrades.
