Why Aussies are posting pics of gravy today
MOVE OVER Christmas, there's another important date on the calendar we need to talk about - and that's Gravy Day.
The special day, made popular by singer/songwriter Paul Kelly in his famous Christmas tune How to Make Gravy, is here and fans on social media are making sure nobody misses it.
The song, released in 1996, starts with the lyrics: "Hello Dan, it's Joe here, I hope you're keeping well, it's the 21st of December, and now they're ringing the last bells."
December 21st is regarded by Kelly fans as National Gravy Day and fans are tweeting their greetings, gravy photos and recipes with the hashtag #putyourgravyout.
Happy Gravy Day, all!
